Adhesive Ski & Snowboard Folding

With the right preparation and technology, gluing on can be done in no time – in only 6 simple steps.

Prepare the surface

Clean the surface thoroughly. Remove dirt, wax and fat residues with isopropanol. The surface shall be: Clean, dry and fat-free It is the most important prerequisite.

Direction of the film

Place the foil without removing the protective film on your ski/board to check the position. Watch for even distances to the edges.

Adhesive film

Pull off the protective film stepwise and press the film with a doctor blade From centre to outside an. Work slowly and evenly.

Removing bladders

Small air bubbles? Carefully prick them with a fine needle and brush out the air. In the case of larger bubbles, lift the film and press it again.

Cutting to excess film

The stickers as Rectangle In order to be delivered and each ski/snowboard has a different shape, you have to cut off the excess foil around the edges. Used in an sharp cutter knife or scalpel and carefully cut along the ski/board edge. Work slowly and with uniform pressure – so you get a clean, precise contour.

Fix edges and allow them to cure

Press the edges of the cut film particularly firmly. Leave the ski/board 24 hours at room temperature rest so that the adhesive completely hardens.

Cleaning

After driving, wipe with a damp, soft cloth. Do not use aggressive cleaning products.

Store in a cool, dry place. Avoid direct sunlight for a long time.

Always transport skis in a ski bag. Do not place surfaces on top of each other unprotected.

Growing and driving

Grow normally – the foil is only on the surface, not on the tread.

Remove foil – residue-free

A new design desired? Our foils can be removed completely without residue.

Heat the foil easily with a hairdryer on a low level – this makes the adhesive softer.
Pull off the film slowly and uniformly at a flat angle. Don't pull jerky!
Sticking residues? Rub with isopropanol or sticker remover and a soft cloth.
Finished! Your ski/snowboard is ready for a new design. 🎉

Profi-Tipp: It is best to remove the film at room temperature. When cold, the glue becomes brittle and detachment is more difficult.

Frequently asked questions

🔧 Do I need special gluing tools?

A doctor blade or a soft cloth, isopropanol for cleaning, a fine needle for air bubbles and a sharp cutter knife for cutting the excess foil – that’s all you need!

⏱️ How long does it take to stick it on?

With a little practice, the sticking on takes about 15–30 minutes per ski or gymnastics. Snowboard. Take a little more time the first time – the result will be worth it.

❄️ Can I stick the film on in the cold?

We recommend sticking it on at room temperature (approx.) 18–22°C When cold, the adhesive adheres poorly and the film is less flexible.

🛡️ How long does the foil last?

In normal use and proper care, the slide 2–3 seasons. It is UV resistant, water resistant and scratch resistant.

journalist️ Can I remove the slide without residue?

Yes! Heat the foil lightly with a hairdryer and pull it off slowly. Adhesive residues can be easily removed with isopropanol.

What do I do with air bubbles?

Stick with a fine needle and brush out the air. In the case of larger bubbles, carefully lift the film and press it again.
