Charcoal is the most understated option: dark anthracite with a fine texture, no motif, no color. A board that looks like a board, not a sticker.
That is precisely why it is the best base for lettering. A name, a club name, or a sponsor's logo stands out clearly against the dark surface and remains legible from a distance – text almost always disappears on colorful patterns. The shade of gray can be adjusted in the configurator from almost black to medium gray.
